Da Nang Railway Station is one of the key railway channels in Vietnam and one of the five major stations in Vietnam. It is one of the best ways to get to and from Da Nang. The station is centrally located on Hai Phong St. The ticket office is open daily. The Hue, Hanoi and Saigon odd-numbered trains run north, even-numbered trains run south.
The shuttle trains are slower but still good value. They go between Hue and Saigon, making stops at local towns. Recommended only if you are not in a hurry. The trip from Da Nang station to Hanoi is about 791 Miles. There are four trains including SE2, SE4, SE6 and SE8 on this route. They go every day and take about 16 hours.
The types of seats include the hard seat, the soft couch, the hard berth (6 berths) and the smooth berth (4 berths), called cabins. Each of the cabin is designed with an air-conditioner and comfortable seats. Hanoi has two stops. The Main station (Hanoi station) located at 120 Notre Duan street, Hoan Kiem district, and Hanoi station B located at Tran Quy Cap road, Hoan Kiem district.
The Southbound trains usually depart from Hanoi Station A and the Northbound trains to Sapa and Lao Cai depart from the Stop Station B. Children two years and under travel free. Children will be 50% of adult price. From Hanoi – Sapa and vice versa, children will have to pay full price.
Luggage: The train cabin must not to exceed the weight limitation of 20 kilos of adults and twelve kgs for children. And baggage must be wrapped neatly and reliably.
